TOP 3 TRENDS OF 2013

2013 has been an incredible year for fashion, LFW was a hit with the most mind-blowing catwalk shows and copious amounts of new trends have arrived throughout the year in both fashion and beauty, here are my top 5 fashion trends of the year;

1. TARTAN
1-Oasis (sale!!!) 2-New Look 3-Topshop 4-Miss Guided
Throughout the months of 2013, my wardrobe has slowly accumulated a quite large collection of tartan pieces, from tartan trousers to tartan jackets. Personally, I prefer the more toned down tartan as the original vibrant red is a bit much for me and wearing too much tartan in one outfit is a massive no-go. For Christmas, I received a tartan skirt (1) which I pair with a black polo neck long sleeved top, statement necklace, thick tights and boots aswell as tartan boyfriend jacket (2) which is slowly becoming my favourite item of my wardrobe!!

| 2014 |

okay... so it seems that at the start of every blog post, recently, I have been saying that 'i am sorry for not blogging and that i will start again' blah blah but this time as a new year resolution (cringe!), I really want to do well with my blog and pursue it throughout the year. Therefore, I am going to try to blog once or twice a week, then hopefully increase when I have more time!

I would LOVE it if you let me know what I should blog about or tips about how i could improve!

lots of love,

TREND | A/W ANKLE BOOTS

(can you tell that I love topshop??)

A staple item that I need to add to my wardrobe this season is a pair of leather boots! I've never completely been a boots kinda girl but boots are one of the only things that will never go out of season and invest in a good pair and you can wear them season on season and they will still look great, but this year I have fallen in love with cut out buckle ankle boots, They are such a great item for autumn/winter and you can dress them up for nights out or they can go with a completely casual outfit and still look amazing or even with a pair of denim shorts in the summer to make a biker look.
My favourite pair out of the ones I have chosen are number 1 from Topshop as they are such a timeless pair of boots which would make any outfit look a bit more dressed up and I would wear them for years! Unfortunately they are sold out in Topshop which makes me extremely sad because they're beautiful but I am on the hunt!!

What are your favourite boots for this season? Let me know!

    BEAUTY WISHLIST #1

    1.Marc Jacobs Perfume in Honey - £50-£68
I'm not one to venture out when buying perfumes  I have the three I like and that's usually it but when Marc Jacobs recently released his new perfume  I was extremely intrigued and I think I have fallen in love with a perfume!! It's sunny, delicious, fruity and floral (oops i'm not very good at describing scents) but it smells incredible!!

    2. Bourjois Paris 1 Second Nail Polish in Turquoise - £5.99
I have recently became a massive fan of Bourjois and after Lily Pebbles put this in one of her blog posts it really appealed to me as it is quick and easy, seems to last a long time and the colour is my amazing which ticks all the boxes.

REVIEW | Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm

I have been extremely excited for the new arrival of Baby Lips to the UK as the anticipation for it from everyone has been through the roof! After the major hype from people who had it from America, it seemed like a product I needed to buy the second it came to England.

As they have been very popular, I managed to snatch up the last three in my local boots which happened to be; Hydrate, Intense Care and Mint Fresh and it also happened to be on 3 for 2 which made it even better.

Review | Sleek Blush in Rose Gold

I have wanted to buy a Sleek blush for a long time seeing as everyone raves about them and I looked forward to see if they lived up to the hype. When Zoella featured this blush in one of her YouTube videos, I rushed out to get it as that colour is just up my street and as Zoe mentioned that it is usually out of stock, I was very excited when I found it in my local Superdrug!

TAG | 7 Deadly Beauty Sins

Whaaaaat?? I cannot believe it is August already and I have not posted since April! That is crazy because blogging is something I have wanted to do for a while and it is a hobby of mine to read beauty and fashion blogs all the time and as I have had lots of work to do, I decided, whilst on holiday, that I would try and blog as much as I can for the rest of the Summer holidays and then reduce it to twice a week when I return back to school in September!

So to gradually to bring my self back into the blogging world, I have chosen to do a tag because one of my favourite things about blogging and youtube is reading/watching tags...

GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?
So firstly, my least expensive beauty item is Collection's fast stroke liquid eyeliner, my first and probably last eyeliner. Definitely a holy grail beauty product! So, on the other hand, my most expensive purchase has been Benefit's They're Real Mascara and oh my goodness I don't think anything could persuade me to switch my mascara! It is worth every penny.

Nail varnishes are one definitely of my favourite beauty products and it's safe to say that I have a little obsession with them seeing as I can't come out of boots without a polish (or two!). Spring colours are my favourite as it contains nearly every shade from neon to pastels! So here are my top 5 for this season:

    1. Models Own Hed Kandi in Beach Party - £5
This is party of the Hed Kandi which has been out for quite a while now and I have only just got round to having a look at it, I am never usually attracted to orange and yellow nail varnishes but this is the brightest orange nail polish I have come across and it would look amazing in the sun!

    2. Barry M in Berry Ice Cream - £2.99
This colour is one of my favourite nail varnishes ever! I wear it all the time and the pink undertone makes it different from lots of lilac polishes I have seen before. It is also quite like Essie's Lilacism which nearly everyone who has a beauty blog has got! But I do like this a bit more. Also Barry M is so cheap for a great quality nail varnish which makes it even better!

    3. Bourjois So Laque Glossy Nail Enamel in Amande Defile - £5.99
I can't resist any nail varnish which is anywhere near mint green seeing as I have so many of the same colour! And this is just adding to my collection. It is a true mint green and it also near enough the same as Essie's Mint Candy Apple! It just looks amazing on nails!

    4. Revlon Nail Art Neon - £7.99
Revlon brought out this two in one neon nail art set last summer and I think that it will be a huge hit this summer aswell. It is two sided, with one side a pure white, which is meant to enhance the neon, whilst the other side is a choice of 10 neon colours named Atomic Pink, High Voltage, Neon Light, Laser Beam, Pink Glow, Fluorescent, Hot Flash, Ultra Violet, Killer-Watt and Amped Up.

    5. Topshop Nails in AWOL - £5.99
This electric blue would look good anytime of the year but this summer it is going to be a big colour. It looks good with anything from a posh night out to going out to the beach.

What are your favourite colours for S/S? Do you like any of my favourites?

    Hope you enjoyed!

    Lots of Love, Tilda xxxx

    Kendall and Kylie Collection Review

    Hello guys! As a massive fan of Keeping up with the Kardashians, I was thrilled to find out that Kendall and Kylie Jenner were to bring out their own clothing range. After Kim, Khloe and Kourtney's clothing range, which I believed was a bit too 'mature' for me, I was really hoping for something young and summery and I was not disappointed! On the Pacsun website it quotes; 'The "Kendall & Kylie" collection embodies the casual-yet-chic sensibility of the Jenner sisters.' which is 100% true because both Kendall and Kylie have completely different styles and it shows that throughout their range. I hope that a few more pieces will be released in the coming months because I don't think there is a huge range however there is enough to show off some great pieces. A few of my favourite pieces from the 'Kendall and Kylie' collection include;

Kendall and Kylie Printed Maxi Skirt - $39.00.

The wild tribal print on this maxi skirt made it first catch my eye as I have been loving this type of print for so long and I just love the whole outfit! The skirt could be dressed up for a more going out look or dressed down with a leather jacket and wayfarer sunglasses which could make it a great holiday outfit! I would definitely buy this for when I go abroad, as it is something I would wear when going out, and as I don't usually wear heels because I am already tall, it would look good with flats aswell. This is going on my holiday wishlist!

    BRIGHT LIPS FOR S/S

    - 1. Jil Sander. 2. Lime Crime D'lilac Lipstick. 3. Jourdan Dunn 4. Clarins Clementine Rouge Lipstick. 5. Mac Candy Yum Yum Lipstick. 6. Georgia May-Jagger. 7. Cara Delevingne.

People have been braving the prominent lip colour throughout the past seasons from vampire reds to neon pinks and coming into spring/summer, the bright lips are here to stay. Just applying a shocking lipstick can brighten and change an outfit completely. When having eye-catching lips, a tip is toning down the rest of your face make up so all the attention is on the lips, also pairing your skin tone with the colour, brings the colour out even more! My favourites at the moment are; bright pinks, which look good on anyone (you could try candy yum yum by mac), lilacs (where you could try Lime Crime D'lilac!) and summery coral (such as Clarins Clementine Rouge). To try and lengthen the time of your lipstick, so you don't have to keep topping up, wear lipliner as well as moisturizing your lips before hand and if you're still a bit unsure on wearing such bright lips, you can try a pale coral, which is subtle but bright enough to look great with a dull outfit!

What are your favourite lipsticks at the moment? Are you a fan of any of these?

    Hope you enjoyed!

    TRENDS ● DUNGAREES

Left to Right; Alexa Chung (also loving her cat pumps!), Sage Tailored Dungaree Jumpsuit In Black from DaisyStreet.co.uk - £29.99, Kinder Aggugini Spring/Summer 2013, River Island Dungarees Dress - £35.00, Jameela Jamil.
Dungarees have been around since I can remember and it looks like the 90's trends is going nowhere! Numerous celebrities have donned the dungarees look including, Alexa Chung, Pixie Lott, Rihanna, Ellie Goulding and even on the catwalks at London Fashion Week. This well-known childhood piece has been revamped in various ways from acid wash, on-trend prints and pinafore style; there are no limitations and are now the ultimate festival piece! It looks great to wear them with a patterned blouse underneath, especially a cute spotty shirt (just like jameela jamil!) or a striped long sleeved t-shirt for a day-time look or for a more sophisticated look, pair play suit style dungarees with heels, a blazer and a shocking red lips. Also, remember dungarees don't always have to be the usual denim! I am a fan of plain black long dungarees with a white shirt underneath, which really brings back the school girl vibes! The winner for me in dungarees is definitely Jameela Jamil, her spotty blouse is my favourite!
Do you like this trend? Do you have a pair? What are your favourites?

    Hope you enjoyed!

    April Wishlist

Whaaaat it's April already! Each month, I will tell you what my wish-list is for that month and everything I love at the moment! So lets get to it...

    1. Topshop Oversized Toile Print Shirt - £40.00
The second I saw this shirt in my local Topshop, I fell in love and once again Topshop have created another beautiful shirt. The coral print is bang on trend and is just in time for the summery season (well if the British weather improves!!) and as it is over-sized, it would look great paired with high-waist skinny jeans, collar tips and loafers for a casual look.
