FESTIVAL MUST HAVES 2014

It's festival time again! My favourite time of year. I've always loved festival fashion, especially Coachella, so here's some pieces for this year...

1. Fluro Pink Embroidered Kimono - £45.00
Every festival needs a kimono. I am loving this piece at the moment and I have fallen in love with this one from River Island. It is also sold in black but this fluorescent is great for summer.

2. Travalo - £10.60
This isn't exactly a clothing item, but this is an amazing invention. You just take the lid off your perfume and pump on the travalo and voila, you have a handy mini bottle of your favourite perfume.

3. Neon Tapestry Bum Bag - £20.00
When you're in a massive crowd at a gig, having a bag is not ideal or is it comfortable so with a bum bag, you can carry all your things whilst having a good time at the gig. Who said bum bags can't be trendy?

4. MOTO Bleach Ripped Mom Shorts - £32.00
Don't think any festival is complete without a good pair of denim shorts. I love the messy worn ripped denim and I think they would look great with the kimono. Even though Topshop shorts tend to be quite short, I still think the style would look amazing.

MINI BEAUTY HAUL

(Before you say anything, I am extremely sorry for the horrendous photos, my camera has gone crazy!!)

So recently, I decided to go out and buy some products from Boots/Superdrug that I have wanted for a while and had seen floating around numerous blogs. So here's what I bought...

1. Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner (free from Glamour magazine!!!!) - £2
This eyeliner worth £12 (!) came free with Glamour magazine and  I have wanted to try this brand ever since Alexa Chung brought out a range with them and I was SO happy to see this was free. You need to go out and get this.

2. Maybelline Colour Tattoo in 'On and On Bronze' - £4.99
I have seen Essie Button talk about this lots and I needed to get it. I am a major neutrals girl so this colour is great for me and it is so pigmented and the lasting power is incredible.

BEST EXFOLIATOR EVER?! - ST IVES FRESH SKIN APRICOT SCRUB

|St Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub Invigorating

'Gently exfoliates dull surface cells to instantly reveal smooth, radiant skin'

I cannot tell you how much I love this product.
I have crazy skin; an extremely flaky nose and forehead but also, sometimes, oily over the top(?!) and I have never been able to wear a foundation as they have usually always looked too cakey and accentuated the extreme flakiness. I've always been told to exfoliate but, to be truly honest, I could never be bothered to add another step into my daily routine until I found 'St Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub Invigorating'.
This 100% does what it says on the tin. It makes my nose and forehead so smooth, which I never thought would happen, so I can now wear foundation without it looking flaky (hurray) and after a few weeks of testing it out, I can tell that it has made my skin more radiant and my red blemishes on my cheeks are fading down.
On the back it states 'for best results use 3-4 times a week' for which I use it 3 times a week and for my flaky skin it is enough!
The consistency is just right; thick but not heavy. However, even though I love this product, I feel it does have quite large exfoliating grains in it which definitely give a thorough scrub so I do not know how well that would be for sensitive skin so they also do a 'gentle' version for those with more sensitive skin.

I now know why it's the UK's #1 Scrub brand and I am looking forward to trying some more of St. Ives products.

St Ives apricot scrub retails for £4.29 so pop out at try it.
Would I purchase again? of course. Would I recommend it? definitely!

Have you tried any of St. Ives products? Comment below to let me know.

FAVOURITE SPRING/SUMMER PICKS

Spring and summer are my favourite seasons for clothes. There are so many choices both dressy and casual, so I have chosen a few of my favourites...

1. New Look Black Watermelon Bikini - £15.99/£9.99
I find picking a bikini quite hard but the second I saw this bikini, i fell in love with it! The longline style bikini top would suit all body shapes and the super cute watermelon print is really 'in' right now.

2. Topshop Moto Baby Blue Wash Mom Jeans - £40.00
Topshop jeans never seem to fail. I've loved the 'mom jean' trend for a while now but have never had the courage to wear them but Topshop are doing the best ones that i've seen. The baby blue wash doesn't make the look seem too harsh and you can dress them up with heels or down with platforms or trainers!

3. Zara Printed Jacket with fringe - £29.99
This is my absolute favourite pick of this post, i've been looking for a summer jacket/kimono for a while and this one is perfect. You could pair this with the mom jeans and sandals or wear it over a cute white summer dress. argh - the colour. the style. the pattern. amazing.

4. Topshop GIGGLE geek shoes - £28.00
Summer is all about the sandal. Whatever the style, it can make an outfit look at bit more summery and can make a dressy outfit a bit more casual. These cute topshop sandals could look good with any outfit and they even come in mint green.

5. Scribble Leaf Skort - £34.00
The skort trend has been everywhere recently - so many patterns and colours are available but this has been my favourite one yet. I recently purchased this and I love it. I could either wear it on holiday with a cami and sandals or with chunky heels for a party.

6. Hawaiian Print T-shirt and Mini Skirt - £35.00 each.
I really really like pairing the same patterned top with the same patterned skirt. As hawaiian print is everywhere at the moment, i love them together but you could wear them separately like the t-shirt with white midi skirt.

What are your favourite picks for this summer? Comment below!

SPEND SAVE SPLURGE: CELINE BAGS

SPLURGE: the infamous CĂ©line bag that every girl wants. the bag that has been the 'it' bag for the past years that has been in the hands of most celebrities is beautiful with a simple but effective design with the well known wings, aswell as being very sturdy however this all comes at a cost. The colour range is huge but one of my favourites has the be the original black and cream which can make any outfit look effortlessy classy. If you can't afford a Celine bag, there are many brilliant dupes out there.

SPEND: On an online website; justfab.com, it sells, what I think, as one of the best dupes around. The style and colour differs ever so slightly but it could pass as one any day! I love the way that it keeps it's sturdiness and is sold at a great, affordable price. This would be good for many who don't want to spend a lot of money on a bag that goes with everything.

SAVE: For those of you who love the celine bag due to the style, then this cheaper alternative is the best for you. Even though the bag has a different front and has less of a structure, the bag still looks expensive and could go with anything. Even if you are not looking for a Celine dupe, this bag could be used for school or day to day doings. I would definitely purchase this bag and at £19.99, its wrong not too!

Are you a fan of Celine bags? Have you seen a great dupe?

TOP 3 TRENDS OF 2013

2013 has been an incredible year for fashion, LFW was a hit with the most mind-blowing catwalk shows and copious amounts of new trends have arrived throughout the year in both fashion and beauty, here are my top 5 fashion trends of the year;

1. TARTAN
1-Oasis (sale!!!) 2-New Look 3-Topshop 4-Miss Guided
Throughout the months of 2013, my wardrobe has slowly accumulated a quite large collection of tartan pieces, from tartan trousers to tartan jackets. Personally, I prefer the more toned down tartan as the original vibrant red is a bit much for me and wearing too much tartan in one outfit is a massive no-go. For Christmas, I received a tartan skirt (1) which I pair with a black polo neck long sleeved top, statement necklace, thick tights and boots aswell as tartan boyfriend jacket (2) which is slowly becoming my favourite item of my wardrobe!!
